Mov. I – Octavia’s Triptych
Mov. II – For My Sister
Mov. III – Toccata De Parasprite
Some of you may have noticed that I only have my most recent pieces available on my bandcamp, and my older, predominantly classical works have seemingly gotten the cold shoulder. Have I still forgotten my roots?! Nonsense. Also in celebration of one year of pony music, I present you with this retrospective of sorts. Remastered, re-edits of some of my favorite classical pony works from way back! For added fun, I’ll be presenting them as a series of “live” performances from Canterlot Gardens; the stuffiest venue I could think of in the show’s canon.
All three movements use a theme from the show to the fullest capacity, the first using the opening theme, the second develops “Art of the Dress” and the third, a toccata based on Pinkie’s “Parasprite Polka.” It was one of the first works I ever conceived when the show started to inspire me musically, but it took me some time to complete it and the trio was never uploaded in its complete form…until now. These three movements still represent some of my favorite contributions of mine to classical brony music and whether this be your first time listening or not, I truly hope you enjoy this remastered composition.
