The story:
So there was an argument. Some result in compromise, understanding and renewed affections. Some however, end in heartbreak. Things don't look so good for our two mares and in the wake of the argument, Tavi decides she's had enough. She's moving out. Packing her bags with feigned gaiety to jaunty counterpoint, she makes for the door, explaining her terms to Scratch as she exits. Vinyl strongly disagrees and makes a futile attempt to get her to stay, half pleading, half roaring.

She doesn't. The door closes.

Vinyl is left with her thoughts and regrets in a darkened room as painful memories of the previous night's argument ring in her ears (echoed by the solo cello playing the theme from "The Argument.") For the first time since she can remember, Vinyl Scratch is alone. Completely alone.

Yes. There are wubs in this piece and yes, they serve a purpose. This is the second of a planned trilogy based on these two, my favorite background ponies. Will it end on a happy note, or are these two finished for good? Find out next time! But seriously, that you so much for listening to "The Breakup."
